Kardamili - a small Greek town on the southern coast of the Peloponnese (West Mani, Messinia), about 35 km from the city of Kalamata and 6 km from the village of Stoupa. The history of this settlement is since time immemorial. In Homer's "Iliad" Kardamili mentioned as one of the seven towns that the legendary Mycenaean king Agamemnon offered to Achilles, that he has become an ally in the Trojan War.

Kardamili is considered one of the most beautiful places in the Peloponnese. This lovely seaside town is located on the picturesque slopes of the hills, among the wild olive groves and majestic cypress trees, which, combined with rising above the horizon snowy peaks of Taygetos mountain range are stunning panoramic views.

Today Kardamili with its charming stone houses, in gardens, the historical center of a fairly well-preserved to this day by various medieval buildings, cozy little port and fantastic beaches (Kalamitsi, Ritsu, Khalikov Salios Neo Proastio) has become a very popular resort with well-developed tourist infrastructure.

Among the most interesting attractions of Kardamili is worth noting the impressive Church of St. Spyridon and the old castle. Neighborhoods same Kardamili are perfect for nature lovers and long walks. Close to Kardamili starts and leads to the foot of the mountain Prophet Elias (the highest peak of the ridge Taygetos) incredibly picturesque gorge of virosomes, the length of which is about 20 km. Diversify your holiday you can also visit Itilon, Areopolis and underground caves Diros.
