Historical Museum in the town of Pazardzhik was founded in 1911. The first museum exhibition was opened in 1924. In 2000, the museum was given the status of a regional.

The ethnographic collection is located in a separate building - an old building of the Bulgarian Revival times .  The house is in the Baroque style was built in 1850 by masters from Bratsigovo .  Earlier it belonged to a rich merchant Nikolay Pazardzhik Khristovich .  Currently the building has the status of architectural and artistic monument of national importance .  Trade Museum, housed in 18 buildings, introduce visitors to the rich spiritual and material culture of the population Pazardzhik .  On the ground floor dedicated to the architecture of the city and the region, you can see photos and layouts of buildings .  The museum is also the reconstruction of the different rooms: the interior of a typical peasant dwellings equipped with a shoe, clothing and skornyatskaya workshops, urban family room, richly furnished living room of the former owner of the house .  On the second floor there is an exhibition of national costume and an exposition dedicated to local folklore .

The museum has its own restoration workshop, photo lab, a specialized library and a cafe.
