Considering the rich villa, once belonged to famous people of Olomouc, sometimes forget that these houses are monuments not only to the owners but also people who worked on them. So, Frantisek villa and Lyudmila Kousalik - couple of Litovel involved in legal issues, designed the famous artist Lubomir Shlapeta. This architect is famous for being built in Olomouc about 10 buildings in the functionalist style, including a villa, which is now in question.
By the time the construction of the mansion for Kousalikov, Shlapeta was already a master of the name. He finished the construction of houses for the Stanislaus Nakladala and was considered very fashionable designer who knows how to listen to the wishes of customers. He always wanted to build houses, so happily begun work on another villa.
Planning Kousalikov residence, built in 1936, has some innovative solutions. Planning permission for a villa allows you to make a solitary house, surrounded by a large garden, but the idea had to be abandoned because the house was supposed to be representative, conspicuous among the other houses on the street.
Kousalikov villa consists of two floors, which house the same size and shape of the room. The garden can be accessed from both floors of rooms. The heart of the house is the spacious living room in the form of letter L. The two wings are connected to the villa terrace. The mansion features a winter garden.
Currently Villa Kousalikov is under state protection.
