Village Brann, mortgaged in 1325, could not be noticed during my leisure trip, if not its main attraction, thanks to which thousands of visitors come here every year. This huge castle Kolshteyn, which is considered one of the grandest palaces of the Czech Republic. Unfortunately, this Renaissance complex is not in the best form and requires costly reconstruction. But even a simple walk through the remains of walls and several romantic buildings will allow to form an opinion about the value and the past glory of the castle.
He appeared in battle in the XIV century. The first owner of the fortress has been famous in these parts an impoverished knight who hunted robbery.
To reach the castle, you should pass the 50-meter bridge, previously served as an insurmountable obstacle for those who want to capture the fortress. In the XVI century the castle appear influential owners - Liechtenstein family, who rebuilds the castle in the style of the late Renaissance.
To inspect the remains of the Upper Castle, which was built before 1325, when the first mention of it in written sources, the main palace, which prefer to stay home, and the Lower Castle, decorated with two towers.
Perhaps a visit to the Castle Church of the Archangel Michael, built in 1612 and rebuilt several times.
On the territory of the palace complex, you can see several sculptures: the statue of St. John of Nepomuk and talent created Pieta - the image of the Virgin mourning Son.
