Moscow Drama Theater. Pushkin is located in the center of Moscow on Tsvetnoy Boulevard. The theater was established in 1950 by the Chamber Theatre, founded in 1914 by Alexander Tairov and his wife, Alice UNC. In 1949 Tairov was fired, and the theater is closed. At the site of the theater was organized in 1950 by the Moscow Drama Theater. Pushkin. Headed theater People's Artist of the USSR Vasily Vanin.

From 2001 to 2010, the artistic director of the Moscow Drama Theater. Pushkin was a Roman Kozak - Honored Artist of Russia, student Oleg Efremov. In 2010, after his sudden death, the chief director of the theater was appointed Yevgeny Pisarev. He is the chief director of the theater today.
