Vigan City is located on the west coast of the Philippine island of Luzon. It is the capital of the island province of Ilocos Sur. Population - a little more than 9000 people. Here was born the 6th Philippine President Elpidio Quirino.

City listed as World Heritage Site by UNESCO because of the numerous buildings preserved from the times of the Spanish colony. Vigan is famous for its cobbled streets and unique architecture, combining elements of traditional Filipino and colonial European styles.
