The volcano is located in the agricultural area - in the heart of the plains of Central Luzon. The southern part of the mountain is part of the municipality of Mount Arayat Pampanga province, north - to the municipality Magalang the same province. At 10 miles to the west is the town of Angeles City and a former US military base Clark. There is also and active volcano Pinatubo, whose last eruption occurred in 1991.
