Church of Our Lady Help true - a former Franciscan monastery, located in Lublin. The Franciscans arrived in Lublin in 1621, after which it was built a wooden church of St. Martin. The area where the church was marshy, near the hill. In the years 1635-1649 on the site of the wooden church was built a brick church of St. Lawrence, built in the Renaissance style. In 1689 the Franciscans started the construction of the monastery buildings and a new church from a single brick in the style of the Renaissance. In 1812-1813, the territory of the church was a military warehouse. Four years later, the Franciscans left the monastery.
The monastery building passed into private hands, and served different purposes. For example, before the start of the January Uprising in 1863 they owned Anthony Domanski, which opened in the monastery cloth factory and candle factory. Church rapidly declined.
In 1913 the church and monastery were bought by a Jew Tadeusz Weisberg, who soon converted to Catholicism. The new owner has transferred the ruins of Salesians, which began restoration work. Invited architect Bruno Zborowski divided the church on three floors. Such a structure is preserved today. In 1930 he was consecrated a chapel of Our Lady Help true. After the reconstruction of the altar was partly made of oak and copper sheet for the project, John Kaiser. At the altar is a painting of Our Lady Help of Christians, written by Constantine Szedniki.
In November 1975, the Reverend Archbishop Boleslaw Pilyaki created Salesian parish of Our Lady of Help Christians.
