Gallery Krapina is the Open University of the Croatian town of Krapina. It is located in the house of a lawyer from a family of cornstarch. The building was built in the second half of the nineteenth century and belongs to the neoclassical style. The structure is an historical value, since it has repeatedly met the famous Croatian historical figures. Descendants Cornstarch - daughter Zdenka and Nadia had left the house, and there have arranged an art gallery Krapina.
Gallery Krapina opened the fifth September 1993, the day of the 800th anniversary of the first written mention of the city Krapina. Today in this gallery have been held more than a hundred exhibitions of contemporary artists. Gallery has its own collection of paintings and sculptures by contemporary Croatian artists, including those owned by a number of the artist's paintings and sculptures Ernest Tomasevic Vekoslava Ruklyacha.
