In the northeast of the Kirov region, in the village of urban Lalsk is a magnificent cathedral complex (17-18 cc.).
Lalsk - old rich merchant city, in Soviet times, it has lost the status of the city, and later regional center. Nowadays the village Lalsk changed little since the mid-nineteenth century and miraculously preserved the architectural ensemble of the cathedral - the main attraction of the region. Located cathedral complex on the hill of the right bank of the river Paws and low-rise buildings is the center of the village.
The Orthodox historical complex includes: the Cathedral of the Resurrection, built in 1698, the bell tower of the Cathedral, an attached in 1743 and the five-domed Cathedral of the Annunciation of the Virgin Mary in 1732. Enough was badly damaged during the Soviet regime (buildings used as a prison, a gym and workshops), the architectural complex has preserved internal decoration of the old Russian church in traditional style. Cathedral bell tower in baroque style was built at the expense of merchants Noritsynyh. Harmoniously blended into the ensemble, it is the highest point in a unique architectural complex of the Kirov region.
Lalsk Orthodox cathedral complex is surrounded by beautiful nature, clearly visible from the main road and observation points. Majestic cathedral with a bell tower are monuments and historic landmark Vyatka region.
