Seraphim of Sarov Church in Khabarovsk is located near the Pacific State University, in a forested area. The architecture of the temple is well visible elements of medieval Novgorod-Pskov architecture.

The idea to build the church in the name of one of the most famous Russian saints - St. Seraphim of Sarov - there for a long time. In 1993, Bishop Innocent brought to the city the icon of God's great saint Seraphim of Sarov with a particle of the holy relics of St. In the first half of the 1990s. before a few believers in the fishing line in the north of Khabarovsk, it appeared the image of St. Seraphim. This was learned Khabarovsk Bishop Innocent, who decided to set in place the miraculous appearance worship cross. Believers named this place "Serafimovo slide."

After some time, it began the construction of the church. Initially Seraphim was built chapel in Pskov style. Later she built a rectory near the house, which for some time were of worship. The church also was designed in the tradition of the northern Russian style of architecture. The author of the project was made by a famous local architect A. Mameshin. Since the church is on the hill, where the difficult terrain, decided to make it a three-storey.

Laying the foundation stone of the temple took place in August 2003, and was consecrated - in May 2008, just before the 150th anniversary of the founding of the city of Khabarovsk.

The total height of the church of St. Seraphim of Sarov - 57 m. It consists of three internal temples: the first - in honor of St. Seraphim of Sarov, the second - in the name of Martyr Tatiana, and the third, the lower chapel, yet has no name. The belfry of the church has ten bells, cast in the town of Borisoglebsk. The temple is decorated with carved walnut iconostasis and icons, to write the best gold Moscow masters, as well as a gilded chandelier, is a replica of an ancient silver chandeliers of the Valaam Monastery.
