Alafuzov theater is located in the Kirov district of Kazan on the street. Gladilova. Previously known as the Kirov district of Kazan Admiralty settlement.
Alafuzov theater building was constructed in 1898 - 1900 years. Author of the project architect L.K.Hrschonovich. Funds for the construction of the industrialist donated I.I.Alafuzov. He was the first industrial magnate Kazan. Alafuzov bought a cottage industry cooperative, located on the right bank of the river Kazanka. With relatives, he founded the "Association of the tannery on equal footing" and flax. He held fairly progressive views. So, he built Alafuzov Theatre, originally called Alafuzov palace. The two-story building of the theater has a strictly symmetrical design. In the corners of the facade built four low, four-sided towers with cupolas. In 1924, it was established for children Tatar theater at the first exponential Tatar theater. In 1932, Pioneer Club was founded Theatre for Young People. In it there were two groups: the Russian and Tatar. Theater toured the regions of the republic. In 1950, the bulk of the company was admitted to the Tatar Academic Theatre.
