Not far from the gate Friedland is a temple of the Holy Virgin is situated in the building of the church Rosenau, built in 1926. Extant Koenigsberg evangelical temple was built in neo-Gothic style and had a square four-story clock tower.

Construction of the temple began in June 1914 in a suburb of Rosenau, while logged into the city of Koenigsberg. The foundation for the church was paved with granite boulders of the old fortress built. The First World War and the subsequent difficult financial situation of the Prussian state postponed the construction of a building for an indefinite period, and only at the beginning of December 1926, the solemn consecration of the church. During World War II, the church building is almost not affected, but the service is no longer held. In Soviet times the building was used as a warehouse of a company town. In the 1990s, the evangelical church was handed over to the Russian Orthodox Church.

At the end of the twentieth century in the drum tower spire (a cross) was found diploma, which reported about people who took part in the construction of churches, and drawings. The literacy referred to Pastor Wagner, whose efforts authorities gave the green light to the construction master A.Kvadfazel architect A.Pfaum and artel elder Pershko. Nowadays diploma is kept in the museum of the church.

Now the church is building Rozenauskogo Church of the Intercession of the Holy Virgin. The historic building has the status of an object of cultural heritage (regional level), and the monument of architecture. The building is renovated, the area around the temple ennobled, and in the church is iconostasis of the handmade.
