Museum of nativity scenes in the Empire is also known as City Art Gallery, housed in the Palazzo del Collegio 19 th century in the Piazza del Duomo. Renovated in the year 2008, it consists of four exhibition halls. The spacious main hall put on display two enormous paintings of the 17th century painting by Francesco Bruno. There you can see the video, which tells about the history and restoration of nativity scenes. Dens themselves are stored in a large glass display case in the other room. In the two side rooms exposed Meeting City Art Gallery.
Christmas crib - the main exhibit hall at the museum stucco Empire - made up of 113 wooden statues of the 18th century, made by the Genoese sculptor Anton Maria Maralyano for festive family den Berio. I must say that Maralyano, beginner students in the sculpture studio Arata and improve their technique under the guidance of Maestro Torre, was a prolific and extremely popular sculptor. He and his students have worked on these wonderful, oil painted figures from 1724 till 1741-th years. And to every visitor could appreciate the skill Maralyano, the administration of the museum organized a special multimedia show with music, bright colors and moving images.
