One of the largest museums in the city of New Delhi - National Museum of Crafts (NHHM) - built up over more than 30 years. He conceived as a kind of ethnographic camp, where they could work artisans from all over India, in order to preserve the identity of the Indian culture and the various areas of folk art.

The basis of the museum was laid in the 50s of the last century. And to 80m years he has turned into a real commercial center with a huge collection of unique items made by craftsmen. Craft Museum is a complex that includes exhibition galleries, workshops, research center, archive, photo lab, as well as a small village, which is a structure left after the exposure of 1972, when the territory of more than 2 hectares were collected various types of traditional village dwellings and temples. The walls of almost every house painted by artists who come to the museum from across the country specifically to showcase his art.

The galleries presented clay, wood, metal, jewelry, made in different techniques. Textiles, woven, painted and embroidered by hand, scarves and saris. The age of some items has up to 300 years.
