Church of Santa Nazaro e Chelso is on Corso Giacomo Matteotti in Brescia at the intersection with Via Fratelli Brondzetti. The building has kept a number of outstanding works of art, the most famous of which is "Polyptych Averoldi" - a masterpiece of the great Titian.

The original building of the church of Santi Nazaro e Chelso was erected in 1239, the year at approximately the same place as the modern building in an area that was part of the walled city of Brescia. In 1746, the year here began extensive renovation work, the result of which was created by the majestic, neoclassical facade topped with a statue, which today attracts tourists. Upgrade has been interrupted due to the explosion, which occurred at a gunpowder warehouse in the nearby Porta Nazaro. Only in 1780, the year in church services were resumed. But 17 years later the Collegiate Church was abolished, but Santi Nazaro e Chelso for some time remained a parish church. In 1803 there was even an organ work of Luigi Amati.

Of course, the main attraction of the church of Santi Nazaro e Chelso is "Polyptych Averoldi" Titian. Creation of the paintings was entrusted to the great painter of the papal legate in Venice, Altobello Averoldi in 1522, the year. In those years, Titian was the chief artist of the Venetian Republic. Huge polyptych placed above the main altar of the church to the place of Vincenzo Foppa altarpiece.

Besides paintings in the church is kept a few pieces of art, including works by Moretto 16th century, Paolo da Kailina Sr. Antonio Gandino, Gianbattista Pitton, Francesco Polatstso, Lattanzi Gambar and others.
