House-Museum of Boris Mikhailovich Kustodiev, a famous Russian artist, a native of Astrakhan, was opened in spring 2002. It is situated in a small family house, in which the end of the century, some representatives of the family lived Kustodiev.

In the House-museum preserves the original things that belonged to the artist - a palette, easel, brushes, documents about the family Kustodiev, Astrakhan old photos and many other things, creating an atmosphere of Astrakhan beginning of XX century.

Most of the exposure given, of course, the works of the masters, and although Astrakhan collection of works Kustodiev is not very large, it includes paintings and graphic works, sketches of theatrical scenery, book illustration, sculpture and samples of applied art, reflecting his diverse artistic quest . One room is devoted to the works of PA Vlasov, the first teacher of the artist - a graduate of the St Petersburg Academy of Painting.
