Astrakhan circus has a long tradition. Ever since the beginning of the XIX century, during the summer the town hosts an annual fair of Volga, on whose territory the circus employed several booths. And since 1885, the inhabitants of Astrakhan had the opportunity to visit a real circus tent in a wooden building with a canvas dome, built by Italian entrepreneur A. Bezano. Circus troupe then consisted of his children and talented students. The building of the circus Bezano performed on tour even VL Durov clown-trainer.

In 1898, the circus troupe "Brothers Nikitin" Astrakhan included in a circular ring of touring - the Caucasus after the company calls in Astrakhan, and then went on a tour of the cities of the Volga region. The brothers built a wooden circus building in the garden of "Otradnoye", which differ not only a beautiful interior decoration, but could accommodate 1200 spectators. In subsequent years, circuses built in Astrakhan, burned, destroyed and re-built. Most often worked in the city of Mobile circus tent that could only operate in the summer.
