They were made of limestone and are associated with funerals. Knowing how hard to make the grave in the rocky terrain, the locals were forced to burn the bodies of the dead and the ashes placed in special containers made of limestone, which was very much in the area. They said they believed that the burning of the dead was to bring him close to immortality and at the same time show respect to the deceased. The vessels were made in various sizes and belonged to a greater extent to the Roman and Byzantine periods. The shape of the vessels resemble a sarcophagus, and the cover is like a saddle.
