At 35 kilometers from Alanya, near the river Alara (on the first eastern plains) is a caravanserai Alara Han or Alarsky yard - an architectural ensemble, created in 1232 by order of the Seljuk Sultan Aladdin Keykubat I (as evidenced by the inscription above the portal with many words of praise to the sultan). Not far from here, about twenty kilometers, is located Sharavsinsky caravanserai built in the middle of the XIII century, the son of Sultan Aladdin Keykubat I.

Built Alara Xan was to protect the caravans that passed along the Silk Road. These caravans traveling from Alaiye to Antalya and Konya in the Middle Ages, it stayed on the site. Hotels of this type were located at a distance of days the way from each other and were "nodal points" in the network of roads crossing the Anatolia. In the XIII century the entire chain of caravanserais was fully formed, and Alara Han was considered the best on the strengthening of the entire southern coast.

Alara Han erected from rough stones, its area of two thousand square meters. All the buildings are in a caravanserai located group, in the courtyards of which were facilities for transport - camels. Going into one of the doors you can get into a space intended for the night. On both sides of a long hallway, there are small rooms. Also at the inns are located sauna, mesdzhit and spring. On the local stone inscriptions left by craftsmen who built this building. Often, all the inscriptions inflicted on the ancient buildings of Alanya, proclaimed Aladdin Keykubat "ruler of the Persians and the Arabs, the Sultan of the land and the two seas," and Alarsky inscription assigns more and the title of "conqueror of the land of Damascus, rumskih, Frankish and Armenian."

The material from which the walls were made Alara Han, except east was carved stone. Three walls of the ensemble hold three- and four-sided backup. The external portal, located in the northern part and by a low arch is decorated with bulging heads of lions, used as candleholders.

It is only located a monument belonging to the Seljuk architecture. Unlike other buildings of this type, there is no courtyard - it is outside the caravanserai, for its external walls. At the entrance on the left side are the source, a small mosque, a stone sentry boxes, right - hamam. Around the premises stables built in the form of arches, surrounded on three sides by Khan. To traders could see their animals and communicate with slaves in the rear of the room made small windows.

To get to the sleeping quarters where there is a large courtyard, the mosque and the source can be from a patio behind the portal. In the rooms there are holes for the light, hiding the arches in the shape of a cradle. Travelers usually ate dinner in the evening on these terraces with sharp arches.

At the entrance to Alara Han on both sides there are two small square towers with walls protected by a visor. The Great Hall is decorated with Khan and also closed arches.

Several years ago, Alara Khan restored, and today it has opened as a shopping center and a restaurant. The room, where there was a guardian of the inn, and today has retained its own distinctive features. At the present time in a caravanserai which has been restored in traditional Turkish style, spend the evening for the Turkish visitors and tourists.

In the north, 800 meters from an Inn, and nine kilometers from the coastline is Alarsky Fortress .  This unusual castle nestled on a hill, where Elevations range from 200 to 500 meters .  Fortress looks really powerful .  It is divided into two parts - external and internal .  To get to the castle, you need to climb the hundred and twenty steps and walk through the dark long corridor .  Here, everywhere you can stumble upon the ruins .  This is due to the fact that it is not open as a museum for tourists, so be careful and cautious .  In the rocks, located inside the fortress were carved tunnels .  In these you can see the ruins of a small palace, mosque and rooms for servants fortress .  Those who wish to climb the paths along the wall to the top of the fortress you need to stock up on a lot of patience and comfortable shoes, because climbing can take more than an hour .  But, despite this, when you go up and see with their own eyes what kind of offers out of the area, from fatigue will remain no trace .
