The museum is housed in an old fort, which until 1970 remained the residence of the ruler of the principality. The museum exhibition includes archaeological and ethnographic sections, ancient weapons, rooms dedicated to the history of the police Emirates. Special interest of visitors can cause reconstruction of past life and traditional crafts using the "wax" figures. The exposition recreates the atmosphere of years gone by and former way of life.

In the museum are objects whose age exceeds 4000 years. During excavations uncovered numerous burials, necklaces, pottery and other remains of the inhabitants of the fishing village of belongings.
