National Dance Theatre named after SA Zvereva-Kyyl Wal - is one of the cultural highlights of Yakutsk. The activities of the theater contributes to the preservation and development of national - folk traditions of dance and other genres of art and culture of the Yakut people. In his works, the theater put together the best traditions of dance folklore indigenous peoples assembled such renowned artists and experts in the Yakut dance as Zhornitskaya M., Zverev, and I..Izbekov A.G.Lukina.

The National Dance Theatre was founded in 1992 on the basis of existing since 1980 at the State Dance Ensemble of the Yakut State Philharmonic. After a while the ensemble became the hallmark of the republic. He has been involved not only in different Russian, and international festivals. The artistic director of the theater became G. Baishev.

In 1993, the orchestra was formed national instruments. The repertoire consisted of about 25 plays and 7 concert programs on the theme of the Yakut national folklore and rituals, as well as the Yukaghir and Yakut mythology. In December 2005, the National Theatre was named after a folk singer, founder of scenic folk dance, folklore expert and Honored Art YASSR Zverev - Kyyl Wal.

Repertoire of the National Dance Theatre are: ceremonial presentation-dancing on a material philosophy, mythology and rituals of black and white shamanism, udaganstva, rites and rituals that are associated with the era of civil wars "Kyrgys uyete" ancient funeral ritual Yakut. The ceremonial presentation - a holiday directly related to fishing and calendar rites complexes. For example, it is a national holiday of the summer meeting "Ysyakh" wedding ceremony "Uruu", and so on. Traditional folk genres include: game khomus, Yakut throat singing - toyuk and humorous tongue twisters - chabyrgah.

The theater consists of a professional dance troupe, a vocal composition and National Orchestra. The repertoire features over 20 full-length plays, more than 18 choreographic compositions and 5 concerts.
