Volgograd Museum of Musical Instruments - a unique collection of rare and unique musical instrument, which began with a private collection.

This museum, located in a private house owned by war veteran Eugene N. Pushkin, created them in 1926 .  Big fan of musical instruments, Evgeny private collection assembled bit by bit, acquiring, repairing and restoring the old folk instruments .  Unfortunately, the first, the oldest part of the collection was destroyed during the bombing of Stalingrad .  How to assure relatives creator collection, among the dead was a violin Stradivarius .  Fortunately, accordion, judging by the inscriptions made at home Stradivari in Cremona, remained intact in the evacuation .  Among other interesting "comparisons" are two accordion, participated in World War II on opposing sides, owned Russian and German soldiers .  Returning to his hometown after the war, and E . H .  Pushkin continued to collect and repair musical instruments, and these trophies were many that contributed to the revival collection .

In 1986 EN Pushkin has presented the collection, numbering 242 operating exhibit, city. Today, rare collections is part of the local history museum, and has expanded to 350 tools.
