Church of the Most Holy Heart of Jesus - a modernist church, built of reinforced concrete with elements of neo-Baroque. The church is located on Victory Square in Szczecin.
The foundation stone of the church was laid on October 13, 1913 Eitel Friedrich, who represented the interests of Kaiser Wilhelm II. The building was designed by the urban urban planning commissioner Bernhard Stahl modeled Garrison Church of St. Paul in Ulm. A characteristic feature of the church is a bright high tower, covered with a green copper roof. Above the main entrance is located bas-relief depicting St. George's battle with the dragon. Inside the altar of ebony is neo-Gothic image of the "Last Supper."
Because of the First World War garrison church was completed in the summer of 1919. In the following years the church was enlarged. Chairs have been replaced by rows of benches, new chair of the stone was set on the site of the old one. On the large balcony above the entrance was an organ, while the bells did not manage to bring to the church until 1945.
During the Second World War, the church was not damaged. In June 1945, she was transferred to the Catholic Church, and since then has not acted as a garrison church. In the early postwar years, the interior of the church have been made numerous changes to reflect the Roman Catholic liturgical rules. Only in 1986 the church established four bells.
