Royal two-storey fort was built in 1820 and was the residence of the family that ruled in Sharjah. Over time, buildings were destroyed, but in 1996 were carried out restoration work. The museum tells the history of the fort development of the emirate and various historical events. There is exhibited a collection of traditional weapons: guns, powder tanks and swords of tortoise shells.
