Sweet Saratov historic landmark located near the Children's Park came into existence at the end of the nineteenth century, when the factory began to produce Miller brothers so rare for Russian sweets: chocolate, different kinds of candy, candied fruit, caramel, marmalade, almond oil and other confectionery products.

The founders of the Miller family chocolate factory - one of the oldest genera of the Volga German colonists. The founder of it was Henry Miller, who established the transportation of salt from the lake Elton Varenburg in the colony, thus laying the foundations of the welfare of the family. Worthy descendants preserve and increase capital based trading house "A.K.Miller sons" (then "sons" was renamed the brothers). Millers owned houses, granaries granaries and mills in the villages of Rovno, Privolnoe and Pokrovskaya Sloboda (now the city of Engels) Saratov province.

The yard bought at Astrakhan grandchildren and Andreas Johannes Miller in 1899 at the tradesman D.F.Naumova intended for factory production departments. In 1903, both were in charge of the newspaper, the factory was completely commissioned and by 1909 worked out pastry shop sweet products to 112 thousand rubles annually.
