Cathedral of the Virgin Mary - the neo-Gothic temple, located in the center of the Polish city of Radom. The cathedral was built in 1894-1911 by the architect Joseph Pius Dzikovskim.
In 1873, Bishop Joseph Yuzinsky sent a letter to the king's government to build a new church, since the existing two churches could not accommodate all the parishioners. The city began to collect donations for the future of the church. Building permits were obtained only in 1898. In the spring of next year to begin construction of the church, the place was consecrated in September 1899 by Bishop Anthony Francis Sotkevichem. In 1911, the church held its first service, in spite of internal defects. The organ was installed two years after opening. Domestic work was fully completed in 1918.
In 1936, Bishop Paul Kubicki consecrated five side altars.
During the Second World War, the church was opened POW camp. German soldiers tried to plunder the decoration of the church, however, it was foiled theft attempt.
In 1981, by decree of Pope John Paul II received the status of a church cathedral in Radom. In 1989, in the Cathedral restoration works were carried out, during which the roof was replaced.
