Museum-library of Simeon of Polotsk is located in a former Jesuit College School Bratsk city of Polotsk. May 25, 1994 the museum was opened after reconstruction. It is a library and a museum of the history of printing.

The library is decorated in the style of university libraries XVII-XVIII centuries. Dark wood furniture, ancient globes, busts of scientists and philosophers, Duplex accommodation bookshelves - everything fits decoration of the library of enlightened time. Visitors have a unique chance to feel like a student of the XVII century, literally touch the ancient books and folios. It employs a reading room 10 workstations equipped with the latest modern science, but modern innovations carefully camouflaged.

A large exhibition is dedicated to publishing and educational activities of Simeon of Polotsk. Here you can see his desk, on which lay as if waiting for the owner, a written instrument and manuscripts. There are also kept the originals of his books, "Wand of government", "Testoment", "Supper soul."

The area of ​​the museum exposition occupies 134 square meters, in which 145 items are shown.

Library in recent years has become a center of spiritual, scientific and cultural life of Polotsk. It regularly hosts meetings of scientists and writers, scientific conferences, lectures for students. Much attention is paid to education of the younger generation. For high school students organized contests, quizzes, competitions.
