In place of this small town on the island Thalang. Phuket Thai battle took place with the Burmese in 1785. The memory of the war and the victory of the Thai people immortalized in the monument sister heroines Thep Krasatri and Sung Si Thon, who managed to organize the defense of the island and outwit enemies: two bronze women dressed in men's clothes, standing with Thai swords in their hands.

The building, built in a classic southern Thai-style houses the National Museum. In his exposition you can see Chinese porcelain, antique ritual objects, objects of folk art.

The wool Prathong is amazing gilded statue of Buddha, half buried in the ground. Several times it tried to dig, but all attempts ended unsuccessfully. This was seen as a sign that the Buddha did not want to be excavated, and a legend was born that anyone who tries to dig or move the statue, will suffer great misfortune. At the monastery there is a small archaeological museum.
