Peter and Paul Church in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky is one of the iconic sights of the city. The church was consecrated in honor of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul, patron saints considered this city.

The history of the church began in 1740, when donated to A.Chirikov located on the shores of Avacha Bay village church camp, located in a small tent and consecrated in honor of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Somewhat later, for it it was built a wooden building. In 1766 the building was moved to the river Paratunka as the old place had very few inhabitants. In 1810 the church was re-consecrated, but in honor of Saints Peter and Paul. Four years later, the church built a chapel and consecrated it in the name of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
