Under Kunětická mountain on the banks of the river Loučná can see a small Moravian town of Sezemice. The proximity of mountains and rivers, fertile soil, the presence of forests, where they could provide food, make this area very attractive for living. According to archaeologists, the first settlements in these places were in the Stone Age.

City Sezemice is considered one of the oldest settlements of the region, so it will be interesting to people who are interested in history.

The first mention of the village Sezemice we meet in the will of the local Pan Koyata compiled in 1227. The village has a large and rich. Around the middle of the XIII century, it localized Cistercian Order, which granted permission for the construction of the convent here. Holy monastery was plundered by Hussites in 1421 and is not subject to restoration. At the same time suffered from the hands of vandals and the local church dedicated to the Holy Trinity, but, thanks to the efforts of local residents managed to rebuild. This temple was part of a monastery. Next to the church stands one of the highest belfries in the Czech Republic. It was built in the shape of an octagon in the XVI century and is decorated with a dome in the form of bulbs.

Since the XV century Sezemice belonged to a wealthy noble family Pernštejn. Nevertheless, it was still a small village, deprived of the right to hold their own fairs. Only in 1834, this locality is granted the title of city. Now Sezemice population of about 3 thousand people.

Tourists who find themselves in this city, it will be interesting to see the two town hall - old and new. Old City Hall is a small two-story structure, topped with a turret with a dial. New Hall is more capacity than the old one. It is built in a contemporary style, its facade painted in cheerful shades of peach.
