At the end of the XVIII century, the small village of Šilheřovice, all adult citizens who seek to leave their hearth and home as quickly as possible because of the monotony and boredom, suddenly received a boost to the continued existence: it began construction of a luxury castle in the classical style.
Pana Eyhendorffy interested in a small settlement, which was located just 13 km from the capital of the region of Ostrava, and decided that the best place for his residence, they did not find. For a few months in the village of Castle appeared worthy of the most distinguished gentlemen. Not surprisingly, it drew attention to the Rothschilds themselves. They owned the castle from 1844 to Šilheřovice 1945. With them the palace was rebuilt in psevdobarochnom style became more presentable and respectable. The Rothschilds have taken care of the landscaping of the adjacent territory to the castle they were ordered to break up around the palace gardens in the English style. Designers working on his plan, landed here rare species of trees and plants, so park is now more like a botanical garden, where people come to look at the wonders of flora.
For added convenience, the owners of the castle in the park was built a small hunting lodge. Now it is fashionable restaurant. Near the castle is also divided into a spacious 18-hole golf course. This area is considered one of the biggest in the Czech Republic.
After World War II, the castle housed Šilheřovice schools and colleges, prepares miners. In 2008, the castle has been renovated and now it is used for different kinds of celebrations.
