National Park "Monti Sibillini", whose name can be translated as Mystery Mountain Park, situated on the territory of 71, 5 thousand hectares in the Italian regions of Umbria and Marche. It was created in 1993, the year for the protection of the landscape, which combines the magical nature, ancient history and rich culture. The main peak of the Sibillini mountain range, located in the heart of Italy, is Monte Vettori (2476 m). In total, the park is located 10 peaks whose height exceeds 2000 meters - Monte Sibilla, Redentore, Monte Priora, Monte Ardzhentella and others. The eastern slopes of the mountains are characterized by narrow river valleys Azo, Tenna and amber, and on the western slopes are situated plain Pian di Castellucci. Apart from a few rivers, the park has an artificial lake Fiastra and Lago di Pilato.
Flora Park shows 1800 species of plants, among which there are the Apennine edelweiss, alpine yellow backache, stemless campion, martagon lily, bearberry, and a huge variety of orchids. In the forests you can see the downy oaks, hmelegraby, white ash, Austrian oak, chestnut, hornbeam, beech and white maple. A variety of ecosystems of the park are home to numerous species of animals - wolves, wild cats, porcupines, rare martens, snow voles and deer. And the birds are home to over 150 species! This golden eagles, falcons, hawks, owls, rock partridge, snow finches, and alpine jackdaws.
But in addition to the wild "Monti Sibillini" and rich in historical and architectural monuments - ancient abbeys and churches, castles and medieval towns that lie on the slopes and at the foot of the mountains.
