Busko-Zdroj - spa town in Poland, located in the Świętokrzyskie Province 50 km south of Kielce and 80 km north-east of Krakow. Lovely continental climate of the area allowed to create in Busko-Zdroj spa resort that treats cardiac, dermatological, rheumatic and neurological diseases.

The first mention of Busko-Zdroj dates from the twelfth century, when in these parts settled a group of shepherds. In 1180 Knight was founded here Derslavom Norbertine monastery. In 1251 the king Boleslav V bestowed on Busko Zdroj first privileges: permission was granted for the production of salt and the use of local mineral water. In 1287 Busko-Zdroj received city rights from Duke Leszek II the Black. The city was favorably located near the trade routes, so the king Vladislav Jagiello granted to local merchants right to a weekly market and two annual town fair. In the fifteenth and sixteenth century, came the economic and social prosperity of the town. It is especially famous for its production of high-quality fabrics.

The first therapeutic resort was opened in the city in 1828, and already in 1836 Sanatorium "Marconi" was taking all comers. This year is considered the official date of opening of the spa resort in Busko-Zdroj. In 1966, the city won the title of the most beautiful resorts in Poland.

In addition to a large number of treatments, the city can stay active and explore the monuments. The main attraction of the town is the parish church of the Immaculate Conception, built in 1592. Also in the center you can see the chapel of St. Anne and the synagogue, built in 1929.
