Emborios

Emborios - a small coastal village in the north of the Greek island of Kalymnos. Settlements are located on the beautiful natural bay about 20 km to the northwest of the island's administrative center - the city Potya. Emborios is probably the smallest town of the island with a population of less than 100 people. Most of the local inhabitants mostly engaged in agriculture and animal husbandry. In recent years, Emboriose began to actively develop the tourism sector.

In ancient times, Emborios was a major trading center and the strategically important port of the island of Kalymnos. Today, this small, cozy town with narrow streets and charming white houses, against which stands proudly beautiful white church with an impressive bell tower, topped with a blue dome.

Emborios - an ideal place for families and for those who simply want to relax in peace away from the hustle and bustle of popular tourist destinations. Here you will find everything you need for a comfortable measured rest - a small hotel, comfortable apartments, rooms for rent, mini-markets and shops, traditional restaurants and taverns with excellent local cuisine and, of course, superb beaches.

Emborios - the last village north of the island, which, in fact, ends the central road. Then extend the breathtaking wild landscapes of Kalymnos and steep rocky mountains. It is no wonder that this place is very popular among fans of climbing. However, do not be bored here and lovers of long walks. It is very popular in Emboriose as sailing, windsurfing, scuba diving, water skiing, fishing, etc.
