On the site of the present church building already in 1703 there was a church built in the years of Turkish oppression, which in 1727th rebuilt. Then it built enclosed by a thick wall with bearings for its simple architecture of the building with an onion dome on the tower and rich iconostasis. The iconostasis and the external decoration of the church are late baroque creation, in which the characteristic features of Orthodox architecture mixed with medium- and Western elements.
