The main street for strolling in Franzensbad is considered to be the People's prospectus. Many of the buildings erected along this avenue, are considered masterpieces of architecture and related to the historical figures who visited them before. To the right of the fountain, made in the form of a wide bowl, which was designed in 1962 by architect Paroubek, it is a multi-storey house, indoor dark tiles. This former holiday home, formerly known as the private pensions, titled "Conversation". During its existence, the building several times to change the name. For a time it was called the Russian house, probably because that was popular with visitors from Russia, and in 1845 was renamed the house "Archduke Stefan." By the way, the latter was a frequent visitor here. His portrait can be seen in the attic of the building.

In 1792 he founded the main street of Frantiskovy Lazne - People Avenue. It was then that her plots were divided among the architects who had the privilege to build new buildings for their own projects. Plot number 8 went to the builder of the nearby town of Cheb named Adam Schuck, who was by no means a newcomer to architecture. In 1808, the house was built. Its owner Anton Musil made a hotel there. In 1850, the house inherited by Hans Pontin, comes from a family of creative people.

In 1869, the building of "Conversations" was remade in the style of classicism. The reconstruction took place under the direction of Karl Viderman.

Currently, the house belongs to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Czech Republic. There resort is designed for employees and their families.

House "Conversation" is famous for the fact that it stayed for the rest of the resort Franzensbad founder Emperor Franz I, the Queen and other Bavarian monarchs of Europe.
