In 1981, the National Park Doi Suthep Pui, was registered as the 24th park in Thailand. For several years, its territory stretches on 261 square km

National Park is located along the mountain range with peaks of Doi Suthep, Doi Pui and Doi Buangha. Its highest point is Mount Doi Pui, which is 1658 meters above sea level. In the gorges of mountain rivers, which are tributaries of the major waterway of the Ping River.

Due to the terrain in the park is maintained pleasant climate throughout the year, the average temperature is 16 ° C.
