Australian Butterfly Reserve is located in the town of Kuranda, near Cairns. It contains the largest collection of Australia's tropical butterflies - more than 1,500 copies, which are grown here! All of them - the local inhabitants of the rain forest, including Kuranda Butterfly, Butterfly Ulysses color "Electric" - an unofficial emblem of North Queensland, and rainbow butterfly breed "Kearns Bёrdving" that affects their green and yellow fluorescence. Meeting with these creatures of the air causes a storm of positive emotions and unforgettable experience.

The reserve was established in 1987 and since then he has visited more than one million tourists. It is completely recreated natural habitat of butterflies in the rainforest: Tourists enjoy a leisurely flowing water streams, waterfalls suddenly breaks off and surrounded by tropical plants and flowers. Walking along the hiking trails of the enclosure, you can see a huge variety of Lepidoptera - butterflies and moths. It is home to the world's largest butterfly - Hercules, endemic to North Queensland and the creation of a majestic jungle.

Every 15 minutes in the reserve begins a half-hour tour during which tourists get acquainted with the life cycle of butterflies and their behavior, learn little known facts about these amazing creatures like a butterfly "Tsetoziya Biblis", "sesiidae" or "orange wanderer." The tour ends at the Museum of the Butterflies, which presents butterflies from around the world.
