Shoes on the Danube Promenade - Memorial, the idea of which belongs to the famous film director Ken toga and implemented by sculptor Gyula Power TD on the banks of the River Danube in Budapest. It is dedicated to the memory of Jews shot by the militants of the Party of the Hungarian Nazi Arrow Cross Party in Budapest during the Second World War. On the night of January 8, 1945 punitive brigade with drawn bayonets broke into the house on the embankment of the Danube and to take people to the street. Victims of violence were ordered to line up on the edge of the embankment, and take off your shoes.
