Bobruisk District Local History Museum was established in 1990 and was the original name of the Bobruisk District State Museum of military and labor glory. In 2007 the museum was renamed.

Currently the museum has three exposition and two exhibition halls. In the hall you can get acquainted with the ethnographic objects peasant folk life of the late XIX - early XX centuries. In the archaeological museum a lot of interesting findings collected in the territory of modern Bobruisk district.

The exhibition, devoted to Bobruisk fortress, tells the story of the construction, military glory and famous exploits, as well as the period when the castle was the casemate for the Decembrists. The hall dedicated to the Soviet period, you will learn about the creation in 1919 of the first agricultural commune in the village Panyushkovichi.

Exhibit dedicated to the famous people talk about the famous residents of Bobruisk: playwright VI Dunin-Marcinkiewicz, literary Ales Adamovich, the writer P. Golovachev, M.Avramchike poet, writer A. Dyatlov, the granddaughter of the great Russian poet Alexander Pushkin - NA Vorontsova-Velyaminovo.

The hall dedicated to the Great Patriotic War of collected photographs, weapons, items telling about the heroism of the residents of Bobruisk during the Nazi occupation, about the partisan resistance of the underground work.

The museum organizes many interesting events: Exhibition of paintings by artists, exhibition of children's drawings, photo exhibitions, exhibitions of works of folk artists, archaeological and literary tours, lectures and master classes.
