Turanj - small tourist village in Dalmatia, situated between Zadar and Biograd, which is only five kilometers to the northwest. He lives here around 1200 inhabitants.
In the summer Turanj - a mecca for lovers bask on the beach. But beyond that, just outside the village there are several parks of national importance - Kornati, Lake Vrana and natural parks such as the Telascica and Krka.
If we talk about the history of this place, the settlement existed here in the Bronze Age, and the first archaeological scientists refer to the Stone Age. Turanj was named after ruins of medieval fortress, which were discovered in the vicinity of the modern town.
In the center of the village is the church of Our Lady of Carmel. Starting from the XV century, every year on July 16 is celebrated the feast the temple, so the tourist season there are organized special events, take part in them can be anyone.
