The Byzantine Museum is one of the most famous museums in the city of Zakynthos (Zante). The museum is located on the south side of the main square of Solomos, who is named after the Greek poet, Dionysius Solomos. The museum was built after the earthquake in 1953 on the initiative of academician Hadzidakisa Manolis and opened its doors to visitors in 1960.

The museum is famous for its rich collection of various ecclesiastical relics (icons, frescoes, sculptures, etc.). The exhibits presented in the museum, covering an impressive period of time, starting from the Byzantine period to the 19th century. A separate exhibition dedicated to the works of famous artists, among them a special place is occupied by the Doksarasa, Damascus, Kutuzisa, Kallergisa, Dzanesa and others. Huge interest is the mural painting (12-13 century and the 17-18 century), and carved wooden iconostasis (16-19 centuries). In a separate gallery of the museum presents the sculptures of the Hellenistic, early Christian, Byzantine and post-Byzantine periods. The Byzantine Museum is also stored facade of the church of St. Andrew Volimskogo. Also in the museum is a detailed model of the city of Zakynthos in the 1930-1950 biennium. before the earthquake (the work of John Manesisa).
