The museum began operating in 1983 and is a branch of the Vologda Museum. Located in an old mansion in 1810 - a monument of architecture and urban planning Vologda. The building is a stone house in the city center near the Kremlin. In the past this building was specific department, and today is a pedagogical college, which is on schedule and runs the museum. In the first room guests get acquainted with the life and with the creative work of Konstantin Nikolayevich (letters, autographs, documents, prints, drawings, books).
