Castle Tratsberg located in Austria on the Inn River, near the city of Schwaz c. The castle was built in 1500 as a fortress that protected the neighboring county of constant enemy attacks. Ancient chronicles indicate that in 1296 in this place there was an old castle Tratsperch, which was destroyed during a severe fire.

His prosperity is obliged to lock the Emperor Maximilian I. Tratsberg used for their trips to hunt. He loved to come to the castle for private recreation, and spared no expense to the luxurious interior decoration of the castle. On his orders in the castle was reconstructed: the number of dwellings has increased, the castle increased in height and given a Gothic look.

The castle remained a fine collection of weapons, portraits of the family of Emperor Maximilian I, the amazing beauty of the royal room, belonging to Anne of Bohemia. The rooms of the castle perfectly preserved: carved ceiling beams powerful, elegant paneling and door made of mosaic in 1515! In many rooms of the castle you can admire hunting trophies of the imperial family.

In the early 19th century during the Napoleonic Wars, the castle was sacked by then was practically abandoned. The new owner was the Count Entsenberg in 1848, his descendants own the castle at present living in it. At the same time, the castle is open to tourists. It operates a small museum.
