The Clock Tower was built in Tryavna in 1814 forces not only local artists, but also the local people, whose names, unfortunately, remained unknown.

The total height of the tower reaches 21 to 15 meters. Conventionally, the tower is divided into three parts: the parallelepiped base with a square cross-section, built of stone. The middle part of the tower - octagon terminating small metal cornice. This part of the tower was repeatedly updated - bricks were eventually plastered and whitewashed. He was subsequently covered with wood, painted in a bad color that is not in harmony with the overall architectural concept. As a result, it was possible to fix only in 1966 during reconstruction.

A special clock mechanism was installed in the middle of the tower and initially there was only the bell, but no dial and hands. The clock was created in 1815 by craftsmen from Gabrovo.

In 1971, on the anniversary of tryavninskoy library clockwork has been renovated in such a way that every evening he gave ten shots voiced and heard the sound of the songs on the Dow poem "inseparable." As a result, this tune has become the anthem of the city.
