Cathedral of St. Olaf, sometimes called "Nidaros Cathedral", built more than a century - from 1140 to the beginning of the XIV century. Despite repeated fires, restructuring, is one of the finest medieval cathedrals of Europe. In the cathedral of the Norwegian kings are buried, including St. Olaf, to venerate the relics of which spiritual pilgrims from all over Europe.

The facade of the cathedral is decorated with magnificent Gothic reliefs and statues of kings and saints. The interior is a maze of giant columns with graceful arches that separate the altar from the nave.
