Seven kilometers from Sevastopol is a winery "Alkadar." It has long been to these places to grow grapes, it produces a wonderful sweet wine. In 1872, the owner of the estate became V.S.Perovskaya Primorsk, which was the mother of the famous revolutionary Sophia Perovskoy. In 1889, well-known businessman FO Stahl bought the land, and farming became famous for manufactured products. Since then, more and more wine lovers appeared. These fine wines appeared on the table of the king. Viticulture and winemaking has evolved to continue at this pace, if not for the events of 1917. Eyewitnesses say that at the beginning of the revolution from the basement of the entrepreneur was poured all the wine, to no one got.
With the advent of Soviet power created the farm "Alkadar." In 1927 it was renamed and was named Sophia Perovskoy. Previous name of the farm remained in Sevastopol agricultural industrial association established in 1991. The name "Alkadar" present at UAB S. Perovskoy as a trademark and the name of the winery. This plant is more powerful, which allows to process almost 8,000 tons of various grapes a year. For wine was realized 250 thousand tons of grapes of high quality. Company name Perovskoy has 800 hectares of vineyards. A large area given over to commercial grades of different grapes that are used for the production of vintage wines and sparkling wines of different varieties. The plant "Alkadar" in 2002 opened a hall for wine tastings. In this room it is not only the best tasting wines, which are awarded at international competitions with high awards, but also familiarity with the history of wine making.
The tasting room is equipped with oak tables, which are made by special order and is designed for 60 seats. The hall is also equipped with air conditioning. In summer, the hall reigns cool and warm in winter. Each tourist arrivals in the hall offers nine samples of various wines, mineral water and several kinds of wafer biscuit. All tasters listen to the story, which covers the history of wine-making culture of drinking, the use of wine, a unique area of Sevastopol and, of course, there are all sorts of legends about the wines.
