Holy Trinity Column - a plague column in the Baroque style was erected in the city of St. Poelten after the deliverance of the population of the city from the plague. St. Pölten is 60 km from Vienna. This is one of the oldest cities in Austria, which was founded by the Romans and was called Elium Tsentium. The right to be called the city of St. Poelten was in 1159. In the Middle Ages, the plague was raging throughout Europe. Epidemics have occurred frequently and have carried out a great number of lives. Austrian St. Pölten was no exception, the epidemic is not just overtook him.

Plague Column was performed by the architect Andreas Gruber in the late 18th century as a sign of victory over the city of the terrible plague.
