Omsk Drama Theater - the oldest theater in the city and one of the best Russian provincial theaters. The theater was founded in 1874 with funds collected by urban society by subscription.

The theater building is a historical and architectural monument. It was built in 1905. The author of the project was made by the famous architect IM Hvorinov. At the beginning of the twentieth century. on the stage of the Omsk Theatre staged performances of works by Alexander Ostrovsky, Tolstoy, Chekhov.
